I’m Kim. I am a 50 yr. old mother, teacher, social worker, ever questioning Episcopalian/Methodist/seeker, girlfriend, sister, daughter, friend. I love words, so WordPress invited me in easily with its very name. I live in a small town in NC. I have many, many children- some I teach, some live in the neighborhood, four are children and grandchildren that live within walking distance of my house, some are former foster children I looked after. If you want to know something about children, especially ones with mental health issues or developmental disabilities, ask me.
I have Hashimoto’s and RA, but they don’t have me. I love to travel and adore being outdoors on a hike whether with people I love or alone. I like reading and writing essays about ordinary events in the lives of interesting people. There’s a book inside of me fighting to come out. There are also some paintings in there that would like to find themselves on paper. I also like reading memoirs, eating chocolate, drinking fancy martinis, and reading funny blogs that other people write. Let me know you stopped by, I might stop by your blog too. I don’t have time to read them all as it is, but it’s like having a big box of chocolates to choose from.
Thanks for checking out my new blog! I’m also Kim and also live in a small town, but in SC. I like the “voice” in your writing. 🙂
